EMP Designs is an innovative electronic design company that for 20 years has been finding solutions to complex problems in the film industry - including lighting, special effects and props, as well as television, theatre, rail and scientific industries. As we expand our manufacturing and service offering, we are seeking an Electro-Mechanical Assembler to become part of our team who also has the ability to rework electronic products.

Our work is varied in scale, size of production runs and in their design and therefore the production line is changeable making the work exciting and diverse. As part of the team, your duties will include product assembly and manufacture requiring skills in electronic, electrical and mechanical assembly. We are looking for someone who is passionate about the work we do and therefore keen to contribute on how design and manufacturing improvements can be achieved.

We have our own product ranges and in addition, we develop products for others. As part of the product development process we prototype products and with this comes an element of rework and therefore having the capability to fault find an electronic circuit is necessary to the role. In addition, the ability to repair products that have been damaged in the field is essential.

Our manufacturing line contains various pieces of equipment that you will be trained to use from hand tools to CNC equipment such as pick and place and CNC routers. We are happy to provide training on the breadth of equipment we have but a desire to learn and embrace technology is essential.

We are a small and friendly team who enjoy working together and we aim to ensure everyone who works at EMP Designs enjoys coming to work each day. We enjoy each other's company outside of work and gather regularly to socialize. We provide a well-stocked kitchen and so provide everyone with food to make their own lunch each day.
